In a world where we just consume, we forget to transform what we already have. Everything we buy is just a mass-produced duplicate of another, yet we still convince ourselves it is special to us. We consume, buy, and never question where it is coming from or where all the waste is going.
In this fast world, I have decided to recycle clothes and turn them into art pieces. I paint them one by one with brushes and different techniques I have mastered over time.
In the future, my aim is to collaborate with high-end brands to create capsule collections from recycled clothes and offer them to conscious fashion enthusiasts, making people realize that recycling can be unique. Unfortunately, many won't listen to where all this cheap labor is coming from, but everybody wants to feel privileged and often superior. So, by turning recycled clothes into artist-designed garments and bringing them into high-end fashion, my goal is to make recycling appealing.
