A study of emotional excess and stuckness.
This photographic series, Panic Attack, is a visceral self-portrait exploration of the overwhelming experience of a panic attack. The work orbits around my own body, directly reflecting the physical and mental confinement that defines such an event—a tension so profound that escape feels impossible. I only use self-portraits. During a panic attack, there is no place to escape; the body itself becomes the only landscape. The subject is utterly confined, controlled by an internal "wound" that keeps bleeding. This photographic choice reflects the absolute lack of agency: when trapped by your own biology, you have no choice but to suffer the experience within the confines of your self.
